What's New With You - August 2018

September 06, 2018

Hello, hello! I've been saying it all year but where has this year gone?! August was a super busy month. I feel like I haven't had one of these in a while. And yet, it was quite relaxing.

Fun little tidbit, this ol' blog turns 7 today!

What's New With You

I took a BodyPump class at the gym and was surprised at how well I kept up. I got a lot of reading in and found a new favorite quote.

I took my best friend to a Rise Against concert for her birthday. She's a new mom {it's a year next week} and I know she needs adult time. All the birds, one stone.

I'm sure you've heard of a rage room but if not the idea is that you suit up and smash a bunch of stuff to pieces. This place only had glass bottles and figurines but I've seen places that, for a price, will allow you to smash printers and computer monitors. Cathartic and fun, hell yes! Flattering apparel, definitely not.

I spent time down the shore canoeing. I haven't done this in ages so it was pretty relaxing and enjoyable. I also visited the worst brewery I've ever been to. I didn't even log it on Untapppd.

Then, mid-month I had an absolutely magical staycation. I went to Brooklyn, Queens, Pearl River... it was such a fun-filled week.

Then my mom, brother {and his gf}, niece, and I went to Seaside for the weekend. It was a whirlwind two and a half days but lots of memories were made.

I ended the month going to the Giant's last pre-season game against the Patriots. They were up and winning was in their favor until a QB sneak said otherwise. They lost but it was my brother's first time at a game so we had fun anyway.

August was incredibly good to me. Here's to September shenanigans!

    1. Just aim for once! I like it too though I haven't been going since that one time. The book is a good one (IMO). Rage room is very cool. They have them all over.

    1. Thanks friend! We should go one of these days. The NJ one isn't as good as ones I've seen pics of in NYC, but again, it's pricey.
