What Was Up in January

February 07, 2019

January was slow in it's way, but as I say that, here we are in February already. Time flies....

Here's what I was up to last month.

I read. Most of my books were for Erin's challenge but I took down a few others as well.

I organized. I went through my candles and fully realized that I have a problem. There were 11 that had been lit and needed to be finished... there were another 10 in the closet waiting to be burned. I'm on a candle ban. Fun Fact: B&BW allows you to swap scents. The day after I shared this on IG I swapped out the pistachio and palo santo for some spring scents. And the campsite coffee has been lit.

I bought a new bookcase. The one I had wasn't big enough and since I no longer have a desk, I was missing storage space. I grabbed this at IKEA for less than $70 and ordered the pineapple bins from Amazon.

I dog sat. This little nugget is the cutest thing ever. It always makes me laugh because my cats are bigger than she is. Oreo is almost three times her size. Surprisingly they all get along. It may have something to do with the fact that Zorra eats cat treats... and their food.

I sneezed. As much as it sucked to be sick for the week, I'm glad I got it out of the way now as opposed to closer to spring.

I watched. I finally finished the first season of Manifest, and I'm hoping it gets renewed, as well as season 3 of The Punisher. So violent, so good. I'm sure by now we've all watched one of the two Fyre documentaries. And let me just say, if you haven't watched the one on Netflix, you're missing out.

I planned. We'll see how long I stick with it this year but I've waded back into the planner community. I've found I really like the Happy Planner and have been happily maintaining it since December.  I use my HP mini to keep track of my running to do list and important things and I use my classic to keep track of things in a creative manner.

As I said before, January was a slow month. And you know what, that's the way I like to ease into a new year!
